To do this, use South-South Cooperation (SSC), as a modality with which they manage to show interests, themes and cooperate. In this way, they manage to lead in areas in which they have experience. The objective of this research was to explain how Colombia and Brazil have been building international leadership through SSC. For this, the narrative of the governments (between 2010 and 2018) of each State was raised, in the light of social constructivism. The methodology was qualitative through discourse analysis, resorting to AtlasTi8 for the analysis of the information collected in official speeches and some media in the study period. As a result, what emerges in this paper is that Colombia and Brazil have sought international leadership by resorting to SSC on issues of security, economy, and participation in political arena. This has been possible through ideas, interests, and identities, which are key elements in a given context. This article reveals the most relevant findings of the research.

Keywords: South-South Cooperation; Constructivism; Leadership; Colombia and Brazil
ER -
