Instructions for Authors
Writers who are interested in being published in Franciscanum should keep in mind that the reception of articles that are the product of official institutional research from philosophy, theology and related subjects will be privileged. Although we will also receive research articles that are constructed from reflective exercise (interpretative, critical or analytical) or from the exercise of documentary review of various available research sources.
These articles will be placed in one of two main sections, either in «Philosophy» or «Theology» according to thematic affinity declared or predominant. And occasionally, books reviews[1] can be included in a minimum percentage, depending on the sections of the journal or the decisions of the Editorial Committee.
In order for a work to be published, it is necessary for the writing to be appropriate and unpublished. That the written has not been sent are parallel to any other journal or organ broadcasting for evaluation, which is not in process and has not been published in other media, whether print or digital, partially or fully.
The article should be laid out as follows:

Sending of manuscripts, Reception, Judgment and Publication Process
2.1 «Double Blind» judging will be carried out, in which the author will not know the name of the judges, nor will they know the name of the author of the article which they are evaluating.
2.2 In case of a disagreement between the judges, it might be possible to send the article for a third review to make a final decision, and the Editor will have the final decision on its publication.
2.3 Whether an article is accepted, continue with the editorial process.
2.4 If an article is accepted with modifications, the author has full responsibility for them within a period of 15 calendar days to continue the process. If the author doesn’t comply the stipulated time, the article will not be published and would have to start a new process, undergoing a reappraisal of academic peers in the next issue.
2.5 If an article is refused, having been through the arbitration process, we don’t we will receive the article for a new process.
2.6 If an author doesn’t answer emails or stops communicating in the process, it doesn’t meet the delivery terms established in one of the stages, and if doesn’t diligence and sends the authorization of publication in the set time, it is your responsibility and may be cancel the text in the process in which it is found, as affect the overall course of editing, layout and publication.
2.7. The dates of receipt and acceptance explicitly will appear at the end of each article.

The journal's editorial committee creates the editorial policies and supports the editing and publishing processes.
Referees
The referee or academic peer is an expert in the specific themes that the authors of the articles have tackled. Their function is to check the quality of the particular article which was sent to them, so that the articles which are published in the journal are pertinent and make a contribution to philosophy, theology and other related fields. And according to this policy, referees besides being experts in the field, are external to the publishing institution and have published at least one article in an academic journal in the two years prior to the eventual publication of the article will be privileged evaluating.
Posting the Journal
Given the Open Access character of the Journal, only in exceptional cases will a copy be sent to the instances that support the dynamics of indexing or databases.

[1] A book review is a document that, from an attentive lecture, presents to academic community a clear position about a current written work. It’s must include all information about the work, describing the content and demonstrate a critical and projective position.
