Abstract

The economic and social development of countries throughout the world is closely  related with science and technology. In this sense, scientific cooperation plays an key  role in the developing countries, where scientific activity has some flaws. This article  analyzes the results of CYTED in Latin America, particularly in Colombia .It reviews  the case studies of the research beneficiary groups of the program. The findings show that although the program´s funding is rather low, it is recognized as a model that  promotes networking between scientists in Latin America, translating into an  inclusive, unbiased, transparent and significant opportunity to obtain resources for  projects in science and technology.
