Abstract
Why and what for we should develop the Religious Education field along the school curriculum, are matters in full debate in the academic institutions and the society in general. In order to know the reasons and purposes when teaching and learning this knowledge, there is a Project that a group of students as well as a teacher, have undertaken in the Research Seminar “Religious Pluralism and Pedagogy” in the Theology Faculty of the San Buenaventura University.
The foundations and purposes of this field are essentially anthropological, sociological and cultural. Human beings are religious and cultural. They make civilization based on paradigms and views of the world which go over their immanence and they are always looking for sense and meaning of their existence in a particular time and place. The research that is being carried out on this line is providing knowledge and experience into the academic profundity of the Practical Theology, linked directly to Pedagogy.
