Abstract
Hace una década, la investigación y los estudios en ciencias humanas y fácticas eran menester exclusivo de docentes y directivos universitarios, quienes apoyados por sus centros de investigaciones y algunas entidades estatales como Colciencias, proponían estudios acordes a sus grupos y líneas investigativas. En ese entonces, el lugar de los estudiantes se circunscribía al rol social de las monitorias, algunas de ellas ligadas a funciones netamente operativas como la transcripción de material de campo, la reseña de documentos y el manejo de papelería. Así mismo, los estudios eran deseados, organizados y formulados por los investigadores principales, partiendo del supuesto que los estudiantes no tenían una adecuada fundamentación teórico-metodológica para asumir retos de esta envergadura.
