Abstract
Cali se resiste a perder su título de “capital mundial de la salsa”; por el contrario, se ratifica cuando aparecen libros de escritores de la tierra que mantienen esa memoria musical escrita desde las colecciones particulares, las audiciones en los parques y las charlas que se programan para melómanos. Esta parte de la cultura de Cali se afianza en espacios como las ‘Charlas didácticas para melómanos de la Salsa’ que se programan en la Cámara de Comercio de Cali, sede Obrero, desde hace tres años y en las cuales se reúnen, el último jueves de cada mes, un grupo de gomosos de los géneros afroantillanos. Las charlas giran en torno a la vida y obra musical de los artistas y las orquestas que han tejido la historia musical cultural popular de la ciudad.
