Este artículo indaga sobre qué estructura administrativa es adecuada para promover el desarrollo de programas académicos flexibles y pertinentes en Educación, y se estructura alrededor del concepto de flexibilidad, entendido como un principio relacional y prospectivo, lo que permite señalar las  implicaciones que de allí se derivan para diseñar nuevas propuestas de estructura académico-administrativa. Igualmente, se plantea la definición de conceptos claves que son el eje para iniciar programas de transformación institucional.
