Abstract
En el marco de la llamada historia de las ideas de la guerra, el artículo problematiza los alcances y las limitaciones de las teorías clásicas y contemporáneas sobre la guerra justa. A partir de los postulados de
Agustín de Hipona, T omás de Aquino, Groccio, Kant, Hegel, Walzer, entre otros, se identifica la raíz de la diferenciación entre los conflictos bélicos justos y aceptables y los injustos y condenables. El artículo concluye discutiendo las implicaciones de la guerra justa en la óptica del jurista y filósofo Luigi Ferrajoli, quien reflexiona sobre los conflictos contemporáneos y las complejas relaciones entre derecho, guerra y democracia cos-mopolita.
