Resumen
Nacida a finales del siglo XIX en el seno del paradigma positivista, la psicología ha logrado importantes desarrollos que le han permitido ser reconocida en el mundo académico y laboral. No obstante, asuntos contextuales han transformado la forma como se conceptúa la realidad, el mundo y el hombre, tal vez como respuesta a la pobre capacidad del paradigma heredado para aportar calidad de vida y bienestar a los seres humanos. Ello ha propiciado el nacimiento y reconocimiento de nuevos paradigmas, entre ellos, la epistemología compleja, en diversos campos de la esfera del conocimiento, los cuales incluyen la subjetividad, la incertidumbre, la relatividad del conocimiento, el conflicto, la inclusión de "los observados" como parte activa de las intervenciones y la relativización de una única realidad cognoscible para pasar a realidades co-construidas. Se propone una aproximación a las consecuencias identitarias para una psicología fundada en la epistemología compleja, y las posibles diferencias y relaciones con la psicología tradicionalmente considerada.
