Resumen
El 6 de Marzo de 1972 llegó a Montería el sociólogo, natural de Barranquilla, Orlando Fals Borda. Fue comisionado por la Fundación Rosca de Investigación y Acción Social para trabajar en la Costa con sede en Montería. El trabajo de Orlando Fals en el movimiento campesino de Córdoba fue de gran impacto, pero controvertido y tratado de manera injusta y sectárea. Aunque trabajó especialmente con los directivos y líderes de las asociaciones de la municipal de Montería y la departamental de Córdoba, sus acciones y programas afectaron al conjunto del movimiento. No obstante, a Orlando le tocó vivir con numerosos estigmas a pesar de sus aclaraciones y del trabajo abierto que realizaba. Yo, recién llegado de Bogotá, tenía referencias de algunos trabajos de Orlando. Cuando me enteré que estaba en Montería lo busqué, conversamos varias veces, me identifiqué con el plan que traía y decidimos trabajar juntos. Fue este trabajo intenso, creativo y riesgoso el que me permitió conocer a Orlando como persona, humanista e intelectual honesto y comprometido.
