Abstract

The present study aims the analysis of the psychometric properties of the scale of Zung, (ESD-Z) in population school teenager Colombian, in a sample of 4407 men and women between 12 and 18 years of age, students of private schools of 5 capital cities of Colombia. The analysis factor the items obtained 4 factors (emotional, physical, cognitive and psychological symptoms) that explain a 43.58% of the variance and an internal consistency of 0.548; analysis of variance of ANOVA, were each variable socio demographic showing significant differences by sex, age and stratum, which is why standards were built taking into account these variables. Based on the results, it is evident that the use of this scale in Colombian teen population is not the most appropriate.
