Abstract

The aim of instrumental study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Psychological Well-being Scale for Adults (PWS-A) in
a sample of 222 students psychology of a private university with ages between of 16 and 44 years (M = 20.8). The confirmatory factor
analysis reveals that data fit a four-factor structure. Furthermore, regarding reliability, the Cronbach’s alpha for the total scale and subscales
is high (α > .80). Comparison of alpha indicates that the instrument is more reliable in the Peruvian college students sample than sample of Argentine adults. The conclude, the PWS-A has suitable psychometric properties to continue validation studies, supporting its
use as an instrument of assessment for psychological well-being in college students.
