Abstract
The objective was to determine the effect of a cognitive behavioral intervention in marital conflict for infidelity based on the steps proposed by Baucom, Snyder and Gordon (2009). Study case AB with follow up with a sample of five couples. It was applied the Couple Needs Inventory by Castro (1994) adapted by Parra (2005) and the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale by Gratz and Roemer (2004), before and after the intervention, showing significant changes. We applied weekly two self- reports (frequency of positive interactions and frequency of discussions about infidelity). The results were analyzed by visual inspection, finding a significant increase in positive interactions on three couples and a significant decrease in the frequency of discussions on all couples.
