Abstract

This is a documentary research, whose objective was to identify the state of Health Psychology in Colombia during the years 2012 to 2018, based on the available information on research groups and training programs in Psychology. The results indicate that 183 universities offer the undergraduate program in Psychology, which 61 of them, include subjects related to Health Psychology; likewise, there are seven postgraduate training programs and three continuous training programs on this specialty; regarding the research groups in Psychology, 177 are identified, in which, 52 of them, research on Health Psychology, being more frequent the topics related to evaluation and in lesser extent, those related to health management. It is concluded that there is an increase in the number of research groups and programs
at different levels of professional training in Health Psychology, identifying greater interest in the evaluation over the intervention and differences in topics of interest and number of hours per subject, regardless to the training level.
