Abstract

Although the Clinical Analysis Questionnaire (CAQ) has been widely used to assess psychopathological personality traits, has not been studied in Colombia. Therefore, the objective of this research was to examine the reliability and factor structure of the CAQ in a sample of 473 adolescents from Bucaramanga between 16 and 25 years of age. The analysis showed adequate internal consistency reliability values (Cronbach 0.69), greater than those displayed in the Spanish version. Likewise, the confirmatory factor analyses showed three factors explaining 52.62% of the variance, Depressive, Neurotic and Independent. These results show that the CAQ is useful in the assessment of psychopathological traits, aspects related to depression.
