Abstract

This current article aims at providing some elements of analysis which let people know the profile of the victims and the main forms violence took in the State of Antioquia, besides providing specific elements to the design and execution of public policies, it was carried out the process of systematization of index cards about incidents of reparation. In order to achieve this goal, the following added their efforts: The National Commission of Reparation and Reconciliation – NCRR -, Antioquia Branch, Saint Bonaventure University, Lands Protection of Social Action Project, People’s Institute of Training, which made up an academic commission for the analysis and follow-up. For the current study, a sample of 4.108 index cards of the incident of reparation of the Prosecutor’s Office of the whole State of Antioquia was retaken and which was titled “Record of Facts Attributed to Self-Defense Groups Demobilized Collectively,” which makes reference to the facts which took place in the State (3.576 cases) and other facts which took place in other 25 States throughout the country (408 cases) as well as 124 cases where the place of occurrence of the facts is unknown. These index cards were collected during 10 days in a sub regional area. These cards were sent either to the NCRR or the Municipal Legal Representation. At the moment of the study, the sample represented the 8% of the total of the victims registered in the State of Antioquia
