Abstract
El presente artículo parte de la reflexión sobre algunas representaciones dominantes en la formación universitaria relacionadas con la separación de la formación humana respecto a la formación disciplinar y con la construcción de lugares comunes desde el consenso. Se resalta el lugar de la formación universitaria como espacio de agenciamiento social para posteriormente abordar los retos de esta formación considerando las persistencias de la modernidad que la impactan. Finalmente, el artículo señala aportes de la formación humana a la formación integral universitaria, entre ellos, la elaboración de alternativas para la consolidación de un lugar de sí en los jóvenes.
