Abstract
El presente trabajo tiene como propósito fundamental indagar sobre la poética de María Helena Uribe de Estrada, a partir de su novela Reptil en el tiempo (1986). Esta obra, que nos impone de entrada la posibilidad de explorar una autora poco trabajada y leída, da cuenta de una escritura femenina innovadora en la que su protagonista plasma la necesidad de escribir y ser leída. Para ello, revisamos cómo lo estético y lo temático establecen rupturas respecto al papel de la mujer-escritora.
