Abstract
Sexuality is a fundamental aspect of the life of human beings that is intimately related to gender. In the present article, a search and bibliographic review of a final sample of 60 articles related to the phenomenon of sexuality about the transgender population was carried out, since this community is and has been little studied in different areas. Therefore, the main objective of the literature review was to obtain relevant information from studies with transgender people concerning sexuality, taking into account the diverse experiences of the transition, the perspective of the meaning of gender, sexual pleasure, biological sex, reproduction, and sexual identity; Additionally, it should be noted that a large number of transgender people have to go through a path of stigma and discrimination, even though certain policies currently exist to protect their rights.
