The Author and / or AUTHORS

The article presents the main debates on governance and international development  cooperation. The author questions the space for greater participation of Civil Society  Organizations (CSOs ) in the current configuration of the International Cooperation  for Development (ICD ) and, more specifically, in the South - South Cooperation  (SSC ). Based on a literature review of primary and secondary sources such  discussions are presented and experiences of CSO participation in CCS projects are  discussed , allowing to show their perceptions and opportunities to expand the range  of actors involved. The findings and conclusions focus on the gaps in knowledge  about these issues, the need to produce exploratory research and the articulation of  CSOs with universities to advance their visibility
