Abstract
Las oportunidades de progreso de una comunidad rural están asociadas a la capacidad que tengan sus miembros de reconocer su historia y en ella aquellos hechos donde se resalta y privilegia lo productivo a través del esfuerzo colectivo. En las comunidades del norte del Cauca se concentra una historia rica en aconteceres, en donde se hace manifiesto el interés por aprovechar los limitados recursos que el entorno ofrece, pero que se dimensionan ante la actitud inquebrantable de emprendimiento de la población. De ahí el interés por construir una cultura a partir de aquellas vivencias que mantengan, en el tiempo, el interés por el mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida
