Abstract

En esta reflexión, como parte del dispositivo crítico conceptual, se observan los conceptos de mitos, utopías e imaginarios desde los cuales se relee, primero, la propuesta de San Francisco de Asís y sus seguidores y, después, se analiza el contexto del siglo XVI y los franciscanos llegados al Nuevo Reino de Granada, en 1550. La reflexión concluye con el contraste de los dispositivos conceptuales y los imaginarios operantes tanto en los frailes misioneros como en las órdenes religiosas españolas, en la jerarquía eclesiástica, la Corona y los nativos del Nuevo Mundo.
