Abstract

The state of scientific research relating the field of generative artificial intelligence to the area of management was evaluated. Through a bibliometric analysis, 133 scientific articles indexed in Scopus between 2020 and 2023 were reviewed. Descriptive indicators, qualitative text analysis, and a social network map allowed for summarizing the scientific literature for the field of study. The findings show great research opportunities in the field of generative artificial intelligence. Specifically, nine research streams were established: Artificial intelligence in education, ChatGPT as a disruptive technology, general impacts of ChatGPT, ChatGPT self-concept and well-being, ChatGPT and academic research, ChatGPT in organizational management, ChatGPT in supply chain management, ChatGPT in tourism and hospitality, and ethical aspects of ChatGPT.
