Abstract

A pesar de que existe la tradición de reseñar libros publicados o reeditados recientemente, después de releer El dosel sagrado, evidencio su actualidad y no resisto la tentación de reseñarlo con la esperanza de que un editor generoso decida publicar esta evocación. En efecto, El dosel sagrado no sólo es un libro necesario para quien pretende abordar el estudio del fenómeno religioso hoy, sino que es imprescindible para quien quiera comprender la relación entre la sociedad y la religión. Más aún, en un momento en el que las creencias se transforman, las religiones se des-institucionalizan y, al parecer, se están dando ciertos procesos secularizadores en escenarios donde los estudiosos del campo religioso insisten en ver manifestaciones de índole sagrado.
