Resumo
Se formulan los presupuestos para una lectura de las crónicas de fray Pedro Simón que permitan caracterizar el imaginario de los conquistadores y evangelizadores. Se considera que hay un imaginario operante que permite idealizar la posibilidad de una utopía en América, arraigada en los ideales franciscanos.
Abstract
The presuppositions for a critical reading of Fray Pedro Simóns Chronicles are formulated here, which will allow for the characterization of the conquerors and evangelizers imagery. It is considered that there is an operative imagery that makes possible to idealize the possibilty of a Utopia in America, deeply rooted in Franciscan ideals.
