Abstract
In El Salvador, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have diversified their areas of work to influence different aspects, among which transparency, social oversight, strengthening of democracy, and anti-corruption stand out. These organizations manage and reinforce their work through international cooperation projects. Therefore, the main objective of this qualitative research is to analyze the level of incidence of the MEAL System on the success factors of international cooperation projects in two NGOs. According to the results obtained, a comprehensive intervention should consider a series of factors related to project management, impact, and phases. Thus, it is concluded that the MEAL System influences critical success factors both in the intervention management and the project life cycle
