Resumo

Este trabajo reporta el aislamiento y caracterización de cuatro cepas nativas provenientes de una planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales de la población de Ginebra, provincia del V alle del Cauca, Colombia, que
fueron cultivadas en un medio mineral saturado con monóxido de arbono a 30 °C bajo agitación constante. Su comportamiento se comparó con el de la bacteria Oligotropha carboxydovorans, cepa OM 5, adquirida a través de la T ype American Culture Collection (A TCC) y estudiada anteriormente en la construcción enzimático para CO.
