Abstract

Playful activities are a fundamental tool in the teaching process, as they allow students to learn thematic subjects in a more engaging, participatory, and memorable way. By incorporating games and dynamics, attention, motivation, creativity, and knowledge retention can be improved. That is why the Santo Tomas University - Tunja has begun to implement playful methodologies that contribute to the improvement of the educational process for Industrial Engineering students. Next, the development of the "X and Y (NEGOTIATING WITH THE ENEMY)" play activity is presented, which was implemented in the 10th Meeting of the Iddeal Network. This activity explores topics related to negotiation, communication, leadership, teamwork, and professional ethics. It is evident that selfishness in a department or work area can lead to conflicts and difficulties with other areas, negatively impacting productivity, quality, and teamwork efficiency. By participating in these simulated scenarios, students can gain practical experience and learn to make effective decisions in real-life situations. Additionally, by having these approaches to work situations, students can better understand the relevance and applicability of the theoretical concepts they learn in class.
